My 19 Week Ultrasound Pictures

Finally....Mom and Dad scanned my 19 week pictures in for you! At the rate they are going we will not be celebrating my first birthday until i am 2 years old!! At this Ultrasound the Doctor looked at 40 different bones and organs to make sure i am developing okay. Everything is normal and working as it should be!

Look at me in 3D!! I have my Daddy's nose! :)

Look you can see my umbilical cord in this picture!

Mommy and Daddy are still working on the Video, stay tuned....

Today i am 24 Weeks (6 Months). I am growing and moving like crazy! I even consistantly respond to my dad when he talks to mom's belly (today anyway)! I am a little over a pound, the size of an ear of corn. One important thing that is going on right now is that my lungs are developing the branches and the cells that produce surfactant which will allow me to breathe once i hit the outside world!

Well, better get back to growing and sleeping!
Love,
Addy

Addy's Nursery

Here is a sneak peak at the begining stages of my nursery! Thanks to John (my neighbor) for all your hard work painting and putting up the panelling and chair rail and Aunt Kathy who is updating mommy and daddy's dresser giving it a fresh new look! I will post the finished pictures of my special room when it is all done!

Happy Turkey Day (Belated of course!)

Boy, it has been a busy busy month! Uncle Ron, Aunt Kathy and Colleen, Mommy and Daddy, and I went to Walt Disney World for Thanksgiving!! We walked around Downtown Disney after having a great Turkey Day Meal at the Hotel and then saw La Nuba the Cirque du Soleil Performance. Maybe I can be one of the Chinese Yo Yo girls (if i am a girl)!! (see the Video Bar to see the Chinese Yo Yo girls)

Then on Friday we went to see the ICE sculptues at the Gaylord Palms Resort. Brrrr it was very cold, 9 degrees!

Here is Mommy at 22 Weeks Pregnant with ME!! Behind her is a large ICE sculpture, good enough to eat!!

More Fun Stuff for ME!

Now a message from Mommy and Daddy....

Thank you to all of our friends and family for the tremendous amount of love you share with us! We are truly blessed to have you in our lives! This week marks the 1/2 way point of our pregnancy and could not be more excited to bring a child into this world surrounded by all of you! Thanks for all the advice, gifts, tips, and support you have given us first time parents to be! Keep it coming, we really appreciate it!

We love you all very much!

Renee and Johnny

I promise i will post the pictures and video of my 19 Week Ultrasound, just as soon as Daddy scans them in and we figure out how to post the video! In the mean time here are some more pictures!!

Here is Mommy and Daddy in Cincinnati, outside Grandpa's house! Mommy is 19 Weeks Pregnant. Almost 5months, half way there! Mommy felt me move for the first time around 20weeks. She also got a stomach flu at the same time so it was hard to tell if it was really me kicking her! At this point i am the size of a banana!

Mommy and Grandpa!

Grandpa already spoiling me with this cute outfit and blanket! Nice and warm for visiting Ohio!

Mommy and Daddy got to see Aunt Abby, Uncle Nate and Elle while we were in Ohio. Here is a picture of Daddy with Elle (11mo old)! Abby thinks i am going to be a little boy and therefore Elle is my future Girlfriend!! Hmmm...Elle Chang.... I think it has a good ring to it! She is very cute and has a great sense of style (of course she gets that from her mom and my mom!)

Aunt Abby, Uncle Nate, and Elle gave me this cute bear and blanket for Christmas! It matches my room colors, green and teal (?). We did a little shopping at the outlet malls in Columbus! Mom and Abby could have spent all day there shopping!

Uncle Chad and Aunt Carrie came to visit us this weekend and surprised Mommy and Daddy with all this cool stuff for little ol' me! I got two new bibs (well i guess everything is new when you are not even born yet). A cool little container to put my pacifier in so it stays clean, a little stuffed animal, and two blankets for me because i am going to be a Rock Star! That's right i think my cousin Cooper and I will start a band together! If all my followers predictions are right, i will be a little boy, so it will be a boy band!! Look for our debut around the year 2022!

Uncle Chad and Aunt Carrie eating Smore's at Mommy and Daddy's party!

Uncle Mike and Aunt Liz also come to visit from Orlando this weekend (Mommy and Daddy had a party). They brought me this really soft puppy dog blanket that i can hang out on! Looks like we have a 3rd dog! It will be great for tummy time!

Here is an outfit i gave Daddy for Mommy and Daddy's 2nd Wedding Anniversary on November 3rd. Yes, kind of a selfish gift, but i will be able to wear it next year when the Rays go back to the World Series and WIN!!!

Until next blog,

Addy

Week 17 Check Up

Hello to all my followers,

Mom and I got a clean bill of health at the doctor's office today. We got to meet Dr. McNeil. He is a pretty cool guy. Mommy got to hear my heart beat. It was 145 beats per minute! Mom has only gained one pound in the past month. And I gained 1 ounce since last week making me about 5 ounces and 5 inches from head to rump! The size of a turnip! Mom has to get more lab work drawn this week to make sure i am developing okay, then in 2 weeks they will do an ultrasound of all my body parts.

Aunt Peggy and Mary Frances made me a really cool blanket and gave it to me while they were in town this past week. Pa Pa Jack, Me Ma Lee, Mom and I went to look for cribs and started a baby registry for me! My Aunt Colleen who i fianlly got to meet in person, from the womb, gave me a little rubber duckie that says NAVY on it! I made sure that Callie and Foster know this is NOT their toy!

Dad gets back from Australia on Friday and i told him to bring me some baby UGGS afterall that is where they are made!!
Oh and mom wouln't mind a pair too!! :)
Love,
Addy

Mommy at 13 Weeks

Sorry, I realize this is a little late, but here is a picture of mommy at 13 weeks! We are now 15 weeks along and i am doing all kinds of cool stuff. I have been able to suck my thumb for the past two weeks, move all around and soon mommy will feel me moving! I am about 41/2 inches long and weigh 13/4 ounces. About the size of a softball!
Aunt Colleen,
I thought you might like to know that my bones have already formed and are getting harder and retaining calcium! You can impress one of your attendings saying at 15 weeks gestation, if you took an x-ray you would be able to see my skeleton! But you probably already knew that!
Mommy's Aunt Peggy and cousin Mary Francis are coming to visit from Cincinnati, OH on Tuesday. Then Me Ma Lee and Grandpa Jack get in on Friday. We are going to do some shopping for ME!! It is about time my mom and dad start preparing for my arrival and getting my room ready! Then on Friday Aunt Colleen is going to be in Sarasota briefly before she goes to San Diego for her last Ortho rotation. Yeah, i finally get to hear Aunt Colleen's voice in person, well from the womb anyway (Hey it is much better than speakerphone!)

Oh yeah, Mommy....Mommy is much better now that the 1st trimester is officially over. She has much more energy, no more nausea, but still dealing with heartburn (thanks to me!)!
Daddy is in Melbourne Australia right now working hard with Kangaroos and Koala Bears. We miss him, especially his cooking and ice cream runs! Mommy and I are jealous we wanted to go with him! Instead Mommy and I got to go to Kansas City for a Cerner Health Conference! We didn't even get to see Dorthy or the Wicked Witch!

Daddy,
We expect lots of pictures from your weekend trip to Sydney!!

Love,

Addy

Mommy's Birthday

Even though it was Mom's Birthday last week, I got a ton of cool stuff!

My Aunt Dyan and Uncle Dan who live in St. Louis gave me some nice onsies, a really soft blanket, and a duckie that Foster, Callie, and Bailey (Dyan and Dan's Dog) think is their toy! How rude!! Oh yeah, Aunt Dyan also spoiled mom with some nice Maternity clothes and earrings.

Uncle Chris and Aunt Kiera gave me a Whinnie the Pooh pillow, which mom and dad can write all my birth information on when i am born!

Aunt Abby, Uncle Nate, and Elle (91/2 mo.) also spoiled mom and I!! I got some toys to play with in the bath tub (sea squirters so i can squirt water on mom and dad), a book, Goodnight Moon, some long sleeve newborn onsies and some warm socks (which i can't wait to lose, right Elle?)! I will be all set when i come out of the womb! Abby also sent mommy a ton of maternity clothes!

My Aunt Kathy also got me some onsies and mom a really pretty maternity top!

Thanks everyone for all our gifts! Mom and I feel very special and loved! I can't wait to play with all my new toys and wear my new clothes!

Week 12 Ultrasound

Here are my pictures of my 12 week ultrasound. Mom and Dad were pretty amazed to see that i am turning into one fine looking baby! I was moving all around during my pictures. I am about 3 inches long and weigh about an ounce. If you look at the bottom right hand picture i am waving to you! The top right hand picture shows my eyes, nose, and mouth!!
It is still too early to find out if i am a boy or girl, but mom and dad finally decided to wait until April when i am born!
Because of this decision mommy and daddy decided they can't keep calling me "the baby,"
"him or her," or "it" (so cold), so we decided on a gestation name: Addy! Addy came about because mom and dad like the name Addison for a girl and Brady for a boy so combined (first two letters and last two letters) you have Ad-dy!
We are in our last week of the 1st trimester (week 13). Mommy has been feeling better and getting her energy back and less nauseous! Mommy has a tiny little belly bump, but nothing too significant. Only 27 more weeks to go! Yeah!
Hope all my fans are doing well!
Love,
Addy (aka Baby Chang)

Meeting Nai Nai

Today i am a 10 weeks old, and graduated from the embryonic stage! I am proud to say that i can now type a little faster as my fingers are no longer webbed and i am starting to get fingernails! Well enough about me...I want to tell you about my family!
I got to hear the voice of my Nai Nai this past weekend. Nai Nai means Paternal Grandma in Chinese (Mandarin). My Nai Nai is going to teach me how to speak Mandarin when i am born! Lao Lao means Maternal Grandma in Chinese. I will have to ask my Grandma Wise if she wants me to call her this! My mom and dad gave Nai Nai a brag book with my first pictures and some more coming soon!
I also got to meet my "Uncle" Jason. He is really my cousin, but like a brother to my dad, so he is truly my uncle. He is pretty nervous because he is moving to Taiwan in a month! Hopefully he will be able to come home and see me when i am born or i can go visit him!
Mom, Dad, and Nai Nai spoke to Aunt Helen, Sean, and Alex who live in Seattle on the phone and talked all about me and when i will be arriving. They also got to talk to Uncle George, my Great Grandma, Aunt Barbara, Uncle Mike and Aunt Katie in Taiwan, and Elise in California. Wow my Dad's family is really spread out! They are very excited for my arrival and I can't wait to meet them!
My mom and dad are doing well, busy as ever. Mom is trying to keep up with school, work, and me making her really tired and nauseous sometimes. Dad is busy too, trying to learn his new role at his job, which allows him to stay at home and not travel! That is super cool for my mom and i.
Here is a picture of me and mom (and Foster's nose) at 10 weeks! I am the size of a kumquat (about an inch). Mom's pants are getting a little tight but she is not really "showing" yet!

Chinese Outfits my dad brought me back from Hong Kong. I have a ton of growing to do before i can fit into them!

My Rima Auntie is already spoiling me! If i am a little girl i get to wear this cool Diaper Diva Onsie (with ruffles on the butt of course) and if i am a boy i get to wear the puppy pal one! Oh by the way Rima Auntie, Seenu Auncle, Devan (2), and Anika (6mo) are mommy and daddy's friends. Rima and Seenu have paved the parenting road for mom and dad and have been offering lots of good advice and presents too! Oh and Devan is helping to "toddler proof" our home. We will soon have a gate our our dock! Thanks Devan! (Wink)! I can't wait to have play dates with Devan and Anika, while our mommies and daddies play (drink) too!

Mom and Dad are still trying to decide if they want to find out if i am a boy or a girl. They say they are going to wait, but i have a feeling my mom's curiosity is going to get the best of her and she will be examining the next few sono pictures of me with a fine tooth comb for a "5th" extremity!

Rima Auntie also spoiled my mom with some Maternity Shirts. I guess it's not all about "me" after all!

Well, i am going to take some laps and then go back to sleep (I do that a lot)!
Talk to you later,
Baby Chang

I almost forgot...

I almost forgot to tell everyone how i told my "Great" Uncle Ron and Aunt Kathy. I only use great because all of my greats, are just that GREAT! Boy, that was a mouthful!!

When I got to hear my Uncle Ron's voice for the first time he said "I love you Saturday!" He didn't know it yet, but i asked mom to deliver a special message to him on one of my bibs that i will wear once i am out of this joint saying, "Uncle Ron, I love you Saturday!" Uncle Ron and Aunt Kathy "got it" right away when mom held the bib up in front of her belly! Mom made "I love you" bibs for every day of the week for Uncle Ron, so when he babysits me (all week), he will know i love him too, i just can't say it yet!

That same weekend i got to hear the voices of my cousin Laura and Jordan. I can't wait to go to their wedding in May and meet them in person. That will be my first visit to Ohio/Kentucky/Indian when i am on the "outside!" Laura is Janelle's sister. I have yet to meet their other sibling, Philip. So far i am 4/5 for hearing all of the Paff family voices. They seem pretty nice, so i will try not to spit up on them when i meet them in person.

Greetings from the underbelly!

My Mom found out she was pregnant with me the morning of July 18th right after my dad went to work. She wanted to tell dad in a "FUN" way so she did not call him and tell him right away. First, she had to call my Aunt Abby, because she promised her a phone call right away when the test came back with two double lines (in the "p" test world that means positive). She also needed another creative mind to help surprise Dad with the news about ME. Aunt Abby had some good suggestions like serving "Baby" Ruths for dessert along with the "Baby" back ribs, "Baby" carrots, and "Baby" corn mom fixed for dinner. (Don't worry my mom didn't cook, she got the ribs from OutBack. After all she didn't want to be a single mom, poisoning dad with her cooking)! All I can say is i hope i got my mom's "Smarts" because it took my Dad a little while to understand what the meal meant! Dad finally got it and him and mom
went "crazy in the kitchen!" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fP6lpaz80-E

I guess "I am kind of a Big Deal!"

I got to travel on a big airplane to Cincinnati, OH last weekend to hear the voices of my Aunt Melissa, Uncle Todd, Grandpa Mike, Grandma Lee, Grandpa Jack, Great Grandma Paff, Great- Grandpa Paff, Great-Godfather Ed, Great-Aunt Joyce, Cousins Janelle and Doug, and a lot of mommy's high school friends!

I was so confused mom told me we were going to Ohio, however we landed in Kentucky at the "Cincinnati" Airport, then went across the River to Indian where my Uncle Todd and Aunt Melissa live. Then i finally got to go to Ohio where my Grandma Lee and Grandpa Jack live on Sunday. My Dad stayed home to rest as he just got back from Hong Kong and to take care of Callie and Foster (who have no idea that their lives are about to change drastically when i am born)!

On Saturday Grandpa Mike picked mom and me up from the airport and we went to a place called LaRosa's. My mom told me that this is the best pizza place in the world, i would have to agree! Aunt Melissa met us there but Uncle Todd was at a fishing tournament. We broke the news to Aunt Melissa, Uncle Todd, and Grandpa by giving them a small baseball glove with a ball to keep in Ohio/Indiana (wherever)!! so they can teach me how to play when i come to visit. Aunt Melissa and my mom used to play softball together for Seton High School. That is how they first became friends and how Aunt Melissa met mommy's brother, my Uncle Todd. I told my Uncle Todd that i promise to be quite unlike my mom, when he takes me fishing. I can't wait for Grandpa Mike to come to my ball games when i am big enough to cheer me on, just like he did for mom!

On Saturday night i got to experience NewPort, Kentucky. Mom and Aunt Melissa went to their high school reunion where i got to meet Aunt Marlene, Sara, Megan, Kristen, and Laura. These are my mom's high school friends. Marlene was the first to figure we were up to something when mom told the server, "I'm fine with water." We had a good time, but i don't understand why all mommy's friends kept putting their glasses up to mom's belly saying, "Cheers to Baby Chang!" all night!

Sunday morning we went to Grandma Lee and Grandpa Jack's house for brunch. I now know that this is my favorite meal! I got to eat breakfast and lunch at the same time! Grandma Lee made yummy casseroles, which makes me think that there is hope in the cooking department for my mom! Grandma Lee and Grandpa Jack got a little brag book to put all my pictures in and a bib to keep that says "I love Grandpa." Mom's cousin Janelle and husband Doug, Aunt Joyce and Uncle Ed, and Great Grandma and Grandpa were also there! We ate and listened to stories from my Great Grandma, Grandma, Great Aunt Joyce, about their pregnancies and raising children!

Next, we called my Aunt Colleen to tell her the good news, "ME!" My mom really wanted to send Colleen a 6 pack of beer and a box of tampons with a note saying, "I can't use this for the next 9 months and i thought you could." Aunt Colleen was very happy and will even be living in Florida with mom and dad when i am due to be born! I am very happy about that because my Aunt Colleen will be a doctor by then (well close enough) and I will have a nurse, doctor, daddy, and two dogs to care for me! I will be in good shape!

When i turned 7 Weeks old i got my first pictures taken! My mom says i am not very photogenic, whatever that means! My dad made the comment that i am one good looking kid!
Mom has been feeling pretty good, she just needs to eat every few hours so she doesn't feel sick. And she is tired a lot, i guess i take up a lot of her energy! Hopefully next month mom will have more energy when i am finished developing all my important organs i won't need a lot of "fuel," just room to grow!

Well, i better get back to growing and sucking the life out of mom!! I will post more soon!

Love you,

Baby Chang
